Chemco Services sees the current market conditions slow with prices softening due to weak demand worldwide and lower crude oil prices. The Chinese devaluation of the Yuan did not help to support plastic scrap prices in the export market. Most of our Asian customers are asking for lower material prices based on the recent correction. The scrap plastic market is not going to change much between now and the end of 2105 with the next 4 months being a continuation of the current market trends.

Due to the current slow market conditions Chemco Services is lowering the price of the PA66 post industrial regrinds that we produce and sell into the plastic recycle market. Please give Jim Gubera a call to discuss pricing and availability of the PA66 Grade # 1008RG regrind.

Nylon 66 Off Grade supply is getting tighter in the USA market.

The Nylon 66 off grade supply in the secondary market seems to be tightening up due to the recent problems at Invistas’ feedstock plant in Victoria, TX.  In addition, the price of oil has moved up into the high $50’s range.  If the current market conditions continue we expect to see a price increase to be announced for prime PA66 in the near future.

Honeywell, BASF, and DSM have all announced $.07/lb. price increases for prime PA6 for the month of May.  I am sure that this is move to try to stop the downward movement in the price of PA6 resins, but it does nothing to correct the oversupply of caprolactam and finished nylon chips in the world market.
